Between your televisions, laptop, and cell phone – do you know many hours a day do you spend in front of a screen?
A 2019 study by Common Sense Media found that the teens they surveyed averaged 7 and half hours of a screen time every day. Those hours did not include the time spent doing assignments at school or homework.
Over the past year, it’s likely that screen time shot up for everyone due to the pandemic.
Screen-Free Week is an annual invitation for people across the nation to unplug whenever they can (outside of school or homework).
Are you up for the challenge?
This week, pick one day, a few hours, or an hour where you will put down your phone, close your laptop, or turn off your tv!
