Internet Drug Sends Eureka High Students to Hospital

(North Coast Journal, Sept. 22) A number of students at a California high school were hospitalized after taking Hawaiian baby woodrose seeds, a natural hallucinogen. The seeds were purchased on the web and shared with friends. Several suffered nausea and vomiting. Eating the seeds can cause severe side effects, including the ones experienced by the students, as well as blurred vision, increased heart rate, and high blood pressure. The high can give LSD-like effects, but can cause even more severe reactions among those with psychiatric conditions. READ MORE.
