(Parent Herald, June 15) A new shows that teens who drink and do drugs perform worse in school than those who don't. Research from the RAND Corporation surveyed 6,500 students in Los Angeles between middle and high school years. The study found that those who took drugs and drank suffered the effects of those drugs on their brains.
