Marijuana: Likelihood of Getting a Job and Marriage Plummet for Teens Who Smoke

(Newsweek, November 7) We know how damaging marijuana use is to the growing teenage brain. So, perhaps, it’s not that much of a surprise that, according to new research, teens who smoke weed heavily are generally less likely get a fulltime job, get married and finish school.
 

University of Connecticut researchers followed 1,165 people through their teenage years and into early adulthood and focused on how heavy drug and alcohol use affected these key adult milestones.
