(Reuters Health, March 26) – About a third of young people admitted to riding with a driver who was under the influence of alcohol or drugs, according to a recent study published by the Journal of Students on Alcohol and Drugs.

The team behind the study analyzed data from two years of the NEXT Generation Health Study (2013 – 2014), which, each year, surveyed approximately 2,000 people who had recently graduated from high school.

Young people driving under the influence are 17 times more likely to die in a crash than impaired adults, the recently released study found. Read more.
