Philadelphia reports 40 drug overdoses in one night

(Outbreak News Today, Nov. 20) Philadelphia experienced a surge in drug overdoses recently, as many as 40 in one day. Typically, the city sees 10-20 in one day. Reports suggest that certain "brands" of heroin may be linked to the overdoses, including Indian Creek, Knock Out, Swine Flu, and Scum Bag. Public health officials have seen an increased use of potent synthetic opioids, scuh as fentanyl and fentanyl analogues. READ MORE.
