In June 2018, Operation Prevention announced the winners of the annual Video Challenge Contest.
As part of the contest, sponsored by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the DEA Educational Foundation, and Discovery Education’s Operation Prevention, participants created 30 to 60 second original Public Service Announcements aimed at preventing other teens from abusing opioids.
The People’s Choice Award went to Garrett Miller, Ayanna Fourte, Robert Smith and ZaQuan Muhammad of Kenwood Academy in Chicago, Ill. (Chicago Public School District) for their catchy anti-opioid music video “Don’t Do It.” The winners will receive an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the DEA Training Academy in Quantico, Virginia.
