Past-month marijuana use continues to exceed cigarette use among high school seniors. 

This form of marijuana can be up to four times stronger in THC content than high grade or top shelf marijuana, which normally measures around 20 percent THC levels.   

While the chart above tracking drug use by youths includes marijuana, the annual Monitoring the Future study performed by the University of Michigan noticed that fewer students used other drugs in the index outside marijuana.

The Drug Abuse Warning Network (DAWN) provides nationally representative patient demographic and visit-level information on emergency department (ED) visits resulting from substance misuse or abuse, and other adverse and reactions to drugs.
